The new 139,000 square-foot Worcester Technical High School is currently under construction.  Scheduled to open in the fall of 2008, the state-of-the-art facility will be capable of serving over 600 students a day, providing them with highly-marketable technical skills and expanded program offerings.

Please review the brochure below which highlights the program and proposed program offerings of the new school:

Pocomoke High School

Capturing the Eastern Shore flavor of Pocomoke City, the planned renovation/addition of Pocomoke High School is well underway.  The Worcester County Commissioners recently approved construction bids for the project which enables construction contractors to mobilize on the school site and begin construction as early as March 2008.

The renovations and additions will enlarge the 70,600 square-foot facility to 124,000 square-feet, adding a new cafeteria, kitchen, gymnasium, media center, athletic complex, and enlarged science wing, while providing modernized classrooms throughout the school.  Every care will be taken to ensure the continuation of a positive and effective learning environment while renovations/additions are taking place.

Construction is expected to be completed in spring 2011.

Snow Hill High School

Capturing the charm of Snow Hill, the planned renovation/addition of Snow Hill High School received state planning approval in December 2006.  Pending state and county approvals, construction could start as early as the summer or fall of 2009.

Construction is anticipated to take approximately three years from start to completion.
