Worcester County Public Schools builds three inclement-weather days into its school calendar. During the 2007-2008 school year, schools were closed due to inclement weather for a total of two days. As a result, one inclement weather day will be deducted from the calendar, making the last day of school for students on Thursday, June 12, 2008.
June 12 will be a half-day of school for all students within the school system. Lunch time will be scheduled into the half-day. Each school will inform parents of dismissal times, and bus transportation will operate accordingly.
High school students will have final examinations on Wednesday and Thursday, June 11 and 12. Both days will be half-days for high school students. (Elementary, Intermediate, and Middle school students will have a full day on Wednesday, June 11.)
