Berlin Intermediate School, located in Berlin, Maryland, accommodates students from farms, small towns, and the large summer resort of Ocean City. Our 4th, 5th and 6th grade students are members of academic teams: Dolphins, Barracudas, Sharks, Marlins, Sailfish and Terrapins. As a result of our environmental initiatives, our school has been recognized by the Governor as a Maryland Green School. BIS is also an Arts Immersion School and was recognized as a Creative Ticket School of Excellence in 2008. Numerous after school clubs are offered to all students. One such club, Destination Imagination, sent a team to the World Finals in 2001 and 2002. An After School Academy provides academic and arts programs for our 4th, 5th and 6th grade students. The students in our performing arts program present musicals at least two times a year. Our school motto is "Believe, Imagine, Succeed."
