Pocomoke High School

Pocomoke High School, located near the Cyprus lined Pocomoke River, is a small rural school that enjoys unprecedented support and pride from the surrounding community. Home of Pride, Honor, and Scholarship, PHS students excel in academics and in extracurricular activities. A 1999 Blue Ribbon School of Excellence recipient, PHS endeavors to prepare all students to compete intellectually and vocationally in an ever-changing global society. Pocomoke High School has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

Mission Statement
The Pocomoke City Public Schools, an enthusiastic rural learning partnership of parents, educators, and community agencies, empowers all students to meet rigorous academic standards and to develop into responsible, involved life-long learners who can excel in their endeavors, contribute positively to their society, and fulfill their personal dreams.

1999 Blue Ribbon School of Excellence; Boys State Champions in Soccer in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008; State Champions in Girls' Field Hockey in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008; 2009 1A State Softball Champions; 1998 Governor's Green School; earned full accreditation from the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools in Fall of 2003; and an MCJROTC Honors School in 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008.
