Showell Elementary is a PreK through 3rd grade school located in a beautiful rural setting between the town of Showell and scenic Ocean Pines. We are just a stone's throw away from the magnificent Ocean City beaches. Our facility offers a math computer lab, two 24-unit mobile wireless computer labs, internet connected classrooms, a spacious Media Center, a beautiful and educational nature trail, a student-built and maintained butterfly garden, a serene outdoor garden classroom, a renovated cafeteria and gymnasium, and a challenging state-of-the-art playground.
Our facility also offers full-time Art, English Language Learner, Speech, Early Intervention, Music, Physical and Special Education teachers, a Curriculum Resource Teacher, as well as a full-time Nurse and an outstanding Maintenance Staff. We are fully staffed to provide the best education and a happy learning environment for every student. A strong PTA and many active, generous community organizations provide talent as well as financial and educational support.

After School Academy
Showell Elementary's After School Academy is school regulated and similar to other county programs. The staff selected to serve this program must meet county and state qualifications. The purpose of the program is to provide a fully supervised and safe environment for students from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The program provides homework assistance, tutoring in reading and math, technology instruction, art appreciation and other academic activities.
