Snow Hill High School

Located in the seventeenth century town of Snow Hill, Maryland, on the banks of the scenic Pocomoke River, Snow Hill High School is a small dynamic learning community that serves a diverse group of students in grades 9 through 12. A tradition of excellence is evidenced at Snow Hill High School through many of the school's activities and programs. For over one hundred years, the motto of the "Snow Hill Eagles" has been "Honor, Service and Efficiency." More recently, Snow Hill High School has adopted "Snow Hill High School - where eagles soar. A Tradition of Excellence" as its slogan. The instructional vision of our school is to provide our students with learning experiences that will empower them to graduate to be lifelong learners, to respect diversity, and to become productive members of their local and worldwide community.

Our students demonstrate the highest attendance rate in the county and one of the lowest dropout rates in the State of Maryland. On the Maryland High School Assessments, the students at Snow Hill High School have performed as well or better than their peers across the state in the assessed areas of English, Government, Algebra I, and Biology. Over 44% of the student body qualifies each year for recognition as WeXL Student Scholars through the WeXL Scholastic Recognition Program, which honors students for consistently earning honor roll status. Over 81% of our graduates continue their education in a two or four year institution of higher learning or through a specialized trade school or enter the military.  In all areas of our students' activities, Snow Hill High School enjoys a wealth of community support and involvement. Snow Hill High School is indeed a dynamic learning community and is committed to excellence in all areas of student performance.
