At the Worcester Career and Technology Center, all students are challenged to prepare today for tomorrow. The school is centrally located in Newark, Maryland and serves students in grades 10 through 12 enrolled in the three area high schools who elect to pursue a certificate in a career field as well as academic preparation for college. There are 13 programs of study at the Career Center. State of the art technology used in business and industry is taught in all program areas. Students at the Career Center have received regional, state, and national recognition for skill and leadership performance. Together, students, parents, and teachers set high expectations for students to achieve academically, technically, and socially. The motto of the Worcester Career and Technology Center is "Teaching the Whole Student."

New School Under Construction
A new state-of-the-art school is being built adjacent to the current school. The new 139,077 square-foot facility will enable the school to expand its offerings and capacity. The new school is projected to open in the Fall of 2008.
